GAS CITY, Ind. -- A woman was arrested on multiple felony charges related to the possession and distribution of methamphetamine during a probation check at a Gas City residence last week.
Officers with the Gas City Police Department were called to a home after being notified by Grant County Probation that narcotics were possibly detected during a probation check that took place on June 13.
GCPD said the substance that was found in the residence later tested positive for methamphetamine. Officers then executed a search warrant in the same residence after a Grant County judge approved their request.
Officers subsequently found the following during the search:
- Around 14 ounces of methamphetamine
- Prescription medication
- Syringes
- Drug paraphernalia
- Two firearms
- $396 in cash
The suspect, identified as 31-year-old Hayley Carmack, was arrested and transported to the Grant County Security Complex on the following preliminary charges:
- Dealing in methamphetamine, level 2 felony
- Maintaining a common nuisance, level 6 felony
- Possession of a legend drug, level 6 felony
- Possession of a controlled substance, level 6 felony
- Unlawful possession of a syringe, level 5 felony
- Possession of paraphernalia, misdemeanor
