INDIANAPOLIS — Two Indianapolis men will be spending nearly a decade in federal prison after pleading guilty to the armed robbery of a gas station.

Bryan Johnson-Taylor, 23, and John Wilson, 19, both pleaded guilty in federal court to interference with commerce by robbery and brandishing a firearm during a crime of violence.

Johnson-Taylor was sentenced to nine and half years in prison with Wilson sentenced to eight years.

According to court documents, the pair robbed a Circle K gas station on Aug. 1, 2022, at 3 a.m. Surveillance footage captured the men pointing firearms at the cashier and demanding money from the register.

In addition to stealing money from the register, the two men stole cigarettes off the shelves and took the employee's cell phone.

Police tracked down the pair and arrested the men a half-mile from the gas station. Police found handguns and the stolen cigarettes and cash.

“Armed criminals who terrorize our community must be held accountable,” said Zachary A. Myers, U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Indiana.
