INDIANAPOLIS - Police are investigating after two men were killed in separate shootings early Saturday morning across Indianapolis.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, just after 12:30 a.m., officers were called to the 2900 block of Schofield Avenue on the report of a person shot on Indy's near northeast side.
When officers arrived, they located an adult male with injuries consistent with a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. A police report confirmed the man died from his injuries.
No suspect information was released.
An hour later, officers were called to the 8300 block of Siear Drive on the report of shots fired on Indy's south side.
Police say while they were searching the area, a witness came up to them and stated that someone had been shot. Officers quickly located an adult male with injuries consistent with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced deceased on scene.
No other information was given by authorities.
