INDIANAPOLIS -- Indianapolis metro police are on the scene of a serious crash that left one person in critical condition on the city's northwest side Wednesday night.
Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were dispatched around 4:47 p.m. to the 5100 block of Lafayette Road in response to a serious bodily injury accident that had been reported in the area.
IMPD confirmed one individual was transported to an area hospital where they currently remain in critical condition.
As of this article's publication, IMPD has not confirmed how many vehicles were involved in the incident or if any other individuals were involved or injured.
