INDIANAPOLIS -- A legendary classic rock band will replace Three Dog Night as the opener for the Indiana State Fair.
According to a news release, Foghat, an English rock band known for its 1975 hit song "Slow Ride," will headline the Hoosier Lottery Free Stage on Friday, kicking off the Indiana State Fair. The show will be at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and is free with paid fair admission.
This comes after Three Dog Night announced they have had to postpone several shows, including the Indianapolis date.
The release said that Foghat has eight gold albums, one platinum album and one double platinum album. Known for its use of electric slide guitar, Foghat is also known for their songs "Fool for the City" and "I Just Want to Make Love to You."
The Hoosier Lottery Free Stage will also host a number of other artists throughout the 2024 Indiana State Fair, including:
