INDIANAPOLIS — The greatest Olympian of all time is coming to the Circle City and is psyched to watch the nation's best swimmers compete at Lucas Oil Stadium.

"I'm coming in. I'll be there on Friday," Michael Phelps announced on the Pat McAfee Show on Wednesday.

Phelps is the most successful and decorated Olympian of all time and has taken home 28 Olympic medals for the United States, including 23 gold medals. Phelps expressed his excitement to come to the Circle City, saying he'd be working with NBC over the weekend.

"Honestly, this thing, it's the greatest," Phelps said about the U.S. Olympic Swimming Trials being hosted in Indianapolis.

The Olympic GOAT couldn't help but gush over the venue — where the home of the Indianapolis Colts has been turned into two (really, pretty much three) Olympic-sized pools.

"Look, to be able to have the Olympic trials inside a football arena? Are you kidding me?" Phelps said. "It's the biggest venue we've ever had in the sport."

Phelps told McAfee about his excitement to watch the fresh new faces and the "studs coming up in this sport" along with veterans vying for their third or fourth Olympic teams.

"This is probably more intense than the actual Olympics," Phelps said. "To be able to compete in the trials where you have 2,000-2,500 swimmers... You're competing for 52 spots! It's pretty intense, bro."

The swim trials continue at Lucas Oil Stadium until June 23. Get in on the excitement by grabbing your tickets here.
