HAMILTON COUNTY, Ind. – After a 90-day construction project, Allisonville Road and 146th Street is once again welcoming traffic.
According to the Hamilton County Highway Department, the intersection reopened around 11 a.m. Sunday.
The work is part of a $44 million project to reduce congestion and enhance safety, turning the busy intersection into a grade-separated interchange with a roundabout.
Drivers will not be able to make a left turn from any direction at the intersection. A temporary signal will control traffic flow until the roundabout is finished. The worksite speed limit is 35 mph.
The overall project is expected to wrap up in summer 2025, the department said.
