HAMILTON COUNTY, Ind. — The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office is investigating a serious three-vehicle crash that killed a juvenile and left three others injured near Westfield.
HCSO deputies were dispatched around 5:12 p.m. to a crash near 206th Street and Six Points Road. County officials reported that the intersection of 206th Street and Six Points Road will be closed for a few hours as the HCSO Crash team investigates the incident.
An HCSO deputy at the scene indicated that the crash began when the driver of a northbound Chevrolet Tahoe disregarded a stop sign and struck a westbound Honda Odyssey van that was proceeding through the intersection.
A third vehicle — a Kia sedan — became involved in the crash before all three cars ended up in a nearby field.
The county sheriff's office reported that multiple individuals were injured in the crash, including a juvenile driver and juvenile passenger in the van. The juveniles were transported to St. Vincent Hospital via ground ambulance. HCSO confirmed that one of the juveniles died from their wounds at the hospital.
The driver and passenger of the Kia sedan were also brought to Riverview Hospital for medical treatment. The extent of their injuries is currently unknown.
The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Team is investigating the fatal crash.
