INDIANAPOLIS -- A 32-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday on the east side of Indianapolis for various charges, including firearms and resisting law enforcement-related warrants, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
On Tuesday, agents with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, as well as detectives with the IMPD-FBI Task Force, identified and arrested Desmond Hess in the 2900 block of N. Drexel Ave. Hess was a reported federal fugitive and was wanted on multiple state and federal charges, including:
- Possession of a machine gun
- Resisting law enforcement
- Other firearms charges.
After obtaining a warrant to search the home, Hess was reportedly taken into custody without incident. Two other individuals who left the home, identified by police as 32-year-old Kevin Minton and 36-year-old Larry Thomas, were also arrested on various firearm and narcotics charges.
As police searched the home, detectives reportedly located the following:
- $14,059 in U.S. currency
- Five handguns and one rifle
- Five pounds of marijuana
- Two pounds of methamphetamine
- 1.5 pounds of cocaine
- 10 grams of fentanyl.
