INDIANAPOLIS — Court records show that a man driving 94 mph caused a fatal crash at the intersection of East 46th Street and North Emerson Avenue in Indianapolis.
An Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officer was called around 5:12 a.m. to the intersection on March 22. At the scene, the officer found two crashed vehicles, court documents said.
One driver was pronounced dead on the scene by emergency medical services. The other has since been identified by IMPD as Joaquin Delgado.
Delgado was transferred to an area hospital in serious condition, according to court documents.
The documents noted that he has since been charged with reckless homicide, a level-five felony. If convicted, Delgado could face one to six years in prison.
