INDIANAPOLIS — The Casba, a bar that has served Broad Ripple Village for almost four decades, has closed.
According to an Instagram post, the business shut its doors Thursday night, calling it "...a moment we have fought off for as long as we could."
"This is truly the end of an era," the post added. "The culture that sustained Broad Ripple's basement will never be replaced or replicated."
In addition to its drinks, The Casba was a popular spot for DJ events. It was especially known for its "Reggae Revolution" on Sundays. Before the bar's closure, this was the longest-running series of reggae nights in Indiana.
