INDIANAPOLIS -- An Indianapolis man is facing a felony charge of armed robbery after being accused of robbing a vehicle and leading police on a high-speed pursuit on the city's far east side in October.

According to court documents, officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were dispatched on Oct. 5 to the Washington Square Mall located at 10102 E. Washington Street in response to a reported carjacking.

Officers arrived on the scene and spoke with a man who told them he was sitting in the front passenger's seat of a black 2008 Honda Accord when a man, later identified by police as Cameron Bullard, allegedly entered the vehicle.

The victim claimed Bullard produced a pocketknife while allegedly saying, "Get out of the car or I'll kill you." The victim said he proceeded to exit the vehicle as Bullard drove off with the stolen vehicle, according to court documents.

The victim recalled observing the vehicle head northbound in the parking lot before heading toward Mitthoeffer Road.

Court documents show the stolen Honda Accord was later spotted by an officer around 5:02 p.m. near the area of 25th Street and German Church Road. The officer continued following the vehicle as it drove northbound.

The responding officer noted that another individual was reportedly observed sitting in the passenger side of the vehicle, according to court documents.

The officer followed the Honda Accord for a few blocks before activating his lights and sirens at Pawnee Drive and 30th Street.

Court documents said Bullard allegedly failed to stop and continued heading westbound on 30th Street. The officer initiated a pursuit and followed the vehicle.

Bullard, who court documents confirmed was driving the Honda Accord, turned toward Bavarian East Drive, where he allegedly dropped off the passenger near an apartment complex in the area.

FOX59/CBS4 is not identifying this individual since they have not been charged in connection to this case as of this article's publication.

The stolen vehicle then turned out of the complex and continued driving on 30th Street. Court documents said police continued pursuing Bullard as he headed eastbound toward the area of 700 West before the high-speed chase eventually spilled over onto U.S. 40.

It was at that moment that the fleeing Honda Accord allegedly crashed into a 2019 Jeep Cherokee. Court documents described how the impact of the crash caused Bullard to be ejected from the vehicle.

Bullard was subsequently arrested without further incident and transported to Eskenazi Hospital for medical clearance. Bullard was then brought to the Marion County Jail where he was preliminarily charged with armed robbery, which is a level 3 felony.

Online court records indicate that Bullard is set to appear in an initial hearing in Marion Superior Court 29 on Nov. 20 around 9 a.m.
