SHELBY COUNTY, Ind. -- Troopers with the Indiana State Police are on the scene of a fatal crash in Shelby County.
On Thursday morning, officials with the Indiana State Police reported that a single vehicle was involved in a fatal crash on I-74 westbound. The crash occurred near the 121-mile marker in Shelby County.
ISP said the crash happened overnight and was not reported until early Thursday morning. Preliminary information indicates the vehicle ran off the road, causing the driver to be ejected.
ISP did not provide any more details surrounding the crash.
"Expect delays in the area for the next 2-3 hours," a social media post from Sgt. John Perrine, ISP public information officer, read. "Please seek alternate routes."
