AVON, Ind. — A little over a year after it first opened its doors, the Swensons Drive-In location in Avon has closed.
The Ohio-based chain restaurant was located at 8894 U.S. Highway 36. It opened on Feb. 6, 2023.
Calls to the restaurant are now kicked to voicemail. Once the voicemail is reached, a message that indicates the restaurant has closed plays.
The voicemail message also says the company "will continue to grow throughout the Midwest, and we look forward to returning to Indy."
At the time of its opening, the Swensons Drive-In in Avon was the burger chain's 20th location. The company's current map of locations indicates it has more than 15 restaurants, all of which are in Ohio.
