MUNCIE, Ind. — A mom was charged after reportedly taking pills and passing out in a Wal-Mart restroom in Muncie, according to court documents.
Sabryna Godby, 25, was charged with:
- Neglect of a Dependent, a Class 6 Felony
- Possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, a Class A Misdemeanor
Officers were dispatched on Monday to a Wal-Mart at 1501 E 39th St. on a report a female in the bathroom while her young child was running around the store.
When police man arrived they spoke with an employee that said a child came up to her and told her that her mom had been in the bathroom for more than an hour.
Godby told authorities that she had taken "her" OxyContin pills. However, the prescription for Oxycodone-Acetaminophen that she had was for another person that is currently in jail.
The child was taken into custody by Child Protective Services.
