INDIANAPOLIS - Police are investigating after a man was shot and killed early Saturday morning on Indy's near north side.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, just after 12:30 a.m., officers responded to the 600 block of East 38th Street on the report of a person shot.
When officers arrived, they located the man outside of a residence with injuries consistent with a gunshot wound. He was transported to an area hospital where he later died.
Homicide detectives responded to the scene to begin the investigation. Detectives believe this to be an isolated incident and have an individual detained.
