INDIANAPOLIS — A vehicle fire caused major traffic tie-ups on Interstate 65 northbound in Indianapolis early Sunday morning.
According to the Indiana Department of Transportation's traffic map, all lanes of I-65 northbound were closed at the north split as of 12 a.m. INDOT indicated traffic was slowed at mile marker 112 between 10th Street and Interstate 70.
Around 12:15 a.m., traffic in the area began moving slowly in one lane.
It is unclear if any civilians were injured during the fire. The cause of the blaze is also currently unknown.
