ANDERSON, Ind. — An Anderson man faces several felony charges after two teenage girls came to police with accusations that he molested them, with one victim claiming he gave her an STD.

Douglas N. White, Jr., 56, was arrested Tuesday by Anderson police after two young girls alleged that he had unwillingly groped and had sex with them. He now faces felony charges of sexual misconduct with a minor (two counts) and sexual battery (one count).

Detectives began investigating White in July after a girl reported that he had molested her two years prior when she was 14 years old. Court documents indicate that after this report, a second victim - who was 16 at the time - came forward with allegations against White as well.

The two victims described several incidents to police where White reportedly groped their chest areas and put his hands beneath their pants. On one occasion, White allegedly cornered the 14-year-old victim and forcibly had sexual intercourse with her.

The victims said the interactions they had with White made them extremely uncomfortable, gave them great physical pain and on one occasion caused them to scream out loud.

After the reported molestation incidents, White allegedly began buying the girls gifts such as perfume.

The victim who first came to police in July told detectives in a follow-up interview that she had gotten sick after an interaction with White. After being hospitalized, the girl reportedly tested positive for an STD.

"She stated that she assumed it had come from White, because it was after [an incident with him]," police wrote. "She stated the STD could not have come from anyone else, because she had not been sexually active with anyone else."

After gathering further evidence from White's house and statements from those close to the victims, White was charged last Monday in Madison County with sexual battery and misconduct with a minor. He was then arrested on Tuesday morning and booked into the local jail. An initial hearing in his court case has not yet been scheduled.

Online court records show that White has an extensive criminal history that includes meth possession, auto theft, neglect of a dependent, driving while suspended and more.

Since 2015, White has been charged in six separate Madison County cases with felony counterfeiting, resisting law enforcement, leaving the scene of an accident and child neglect.

Court records also show that White has twice been charged with meth possession since late 2023.

In November of last year, the Anderson man was charged in Wayne County with meth and syringe possession - charges that he reportedly still has an active arrest warrant for. Then, on July 15, White was charged in Madison County with meth possession and driving while suspended. These charges are still pending.
