INDIANAPOLIS -- Officials with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department are investigating after a food trailer was reportedly stolen from a nonprofit on the north side of Indianapolis earlier this month.

According to a police report, IMPD said a trailer was stolen from The Smoking Pastor on Aug. 10 from 9111 Haverstick Rd., the address for a co-working space as well as a church. The incident reportedly occurred around 12:30 a.m. on Aug. 10 but was not reported until later that morning.

The police report said it involved a white enclosed trailer that is worth $100,000. The make of the trailer is "World Wide Trailer."

The Smoking Pastor is a nonprofit organization that serves up free food at events to help "inspire community, one meal at a time." The nonprofit partnered with Helping His Hands Disaster Response for the trailer that was stolen.

"We're brokenhearted, and our partners at Helping His Hands Disaster Response share in our heartbreak," a post on the nonprofit's social media page read. "But even in this setback, we trust that God is good and that He will provide exactly what we need to keep moving forward. We've taken some time to mentally digest what has happened, and we are so thankful for our Smoking Pastor community and your unwavering support."

In an update on Aug. 19, the nonprofit said that the trailer is still missing and they continue to "pray, hope and search, trusting that God will guide (the nonprofit) through this challenge."

"If you happen to see this trailer or recognize it anywhere, please let us know. We are sharing security footage, and any information that could help recover it would be greatly appreciated," the Aug. 14 post read. "We refuse to let this stop us. We’re committed to our mission of feeding and serving our community, and we know that with faith and your prayers, we will continue to bring joy to those we serve."

Officials with IMPD said that this is an ongoing investigation.
