INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is investigating after a vehicle struck and killed a man Monday night.
IMPD said officers responded to a crash at the intersection of Cross Creek Drive and Georgetown Road around 9:45 p.m.
When officers arrived, they located an adult male who'd been struck by a blue Kia SUV. The man was taken to the hospital in critical condition, where he later died from his injuries.
The driver of the vehicle stayed on scene and was cooperative with detectives.
The driver completed a blood draw, which is standard procedure with serious bodily injury and fatal accidents. Driver impairment is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
