INDIANAPOLIS – Drivers should watch for lane restrictions starting soon on the west side of Indianapolis.
The Indiana Department of Transportation plans to restrict the two right lanes of I-465 northbound between I-70 and U.S. 36 “beginning on or after” Aug. 11.
The work will include concrete pavement and bridge deck patching work. Drivers will see ramp restrictions at the following locations:
- I-70 eastbound to I-465 northbound
- I-70 westbound to I-465 northbound
- I-465 northbound to Sam Jones Expressway
- Sam Jones Expressway to I-465 northbound
- I-465 northbound to U.S. 40
The restrictions will allow crews to work safely as they complete pavement restoration, bridge deck patching and joint repairs, INDOT said.
The agency expected work to wrap up by 6 a.m. on Aug. 15, weather permitting.
INDOT urged drivers to slow down and use caution when traveling near work zones.
