MUNCIE, Ind. -- A Muncie man is set to be sentenced later this month after being convicted of a felony following the conclusion of a jury trial Monday in Delaware County.
The Delaware County Prosecutor's Office announced that David Howell, 35, was convicted of criminal recklessness committed with a deadly weapon, a level 6 felony, after being found guilty of firing a handgun from a vehicle towards a crowded area featuring multiple adults and children.
The release did not provide the date or exact location where the incident reportedly took place.

DCPO added that individuals convicted of level 6 felonies in Indiana are typically sentenced to serve between six months and two and a half years in prison and could be ordered to pay up to a $10,000 fine.
Howell is set to be sentenced on Aug. 29 in Delaware Circuit Court 2.
