HANCOCK COUNTY, Ind. — Three individuals were rescued from a maintenance hole in Hancock County on Monday, according to the Sugar Creek Township Fire Department.
The Hancock County Technical Rescue team was dispatched at 8 a.m. to the 2200 block of W Bedrock Ln. on a report of a confined space rescue of an unconscious male and two individuals in a manhole.
Upon arrival, crews found a semi-conscious male and two individuals in the utility hole. Firefighters and paramedics were able to lower oxygen to the unconscious male, which did improve their condition.
The victims were able to self-extricate from the hole at 8:20 a.m. Responders transported one individual to the hospital.
