INDIANAPOLIS — A person was shot on the near west side Thursday evening, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said.
IMPD officers were called to the 1200 block of Medford Ave around 5:31 p.m., on the report of a person shot. There, they discovered a victim with injuries consistent with gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced dead on-scene, police said.
The name of the victim and potential suspects have not been released at this time. This is a developing story.
