INDIANAPOLIS – Indianapolis Metropolitan police arrested a man in connection with a downtown shooting from earlier in June.
IMPD said Michael Baldwin, 35, was taken into custody in connection with the June 10 shooting, which happened around 11 p.m. in the 900 block of N. Meridian Street.
Police found a person suffering from a gunshot wound.
Detectives later said the victim and suspect involved in incident knew each other. They identified Baldwin as a “person of interest.”
Police located Baldwin Monday after a coordinated effort involving the IMPD Violent Crime Unit, and Downtown and Southeast District Violent Crime Task Forces.
He’s charged with domestic battery by means of a deadly weapon and battery by means of a deadly weapon. An initial hearing was scheduled for Thursday.
