GRANT COUNTY, Ind. —An Indianapolis man has died after a crash on I-69 in Grant County.
According to the Indiana State Police, Officers were dispatched at 9:35 a.m. on Thursday on a report of an injury-involved crash on I-69 northbound near the 269 mile-marker.
The preliminary investigation determined that an Indianapolis man was driving a 2009 Chrysler minivan going northbound on I-69. The driver of the Chrysler rear-ended a 2022 Chevrolet Express for an unknown reason. This collision caused the Chevrolet Express to hit a 2021 Freightliner in front of it.
The victim was identified as 61-year-old Darren T. Davis. The drivers of the Chevrolet Express and the Freightliner were transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
