MUNCIE, Ind. — A Muncie firefighter was arrested for reportedly attacking his significant other, leaving them with multiple bruises.
Jordan Dulaney, 33, was charged with strangulation, a Level 6 Felony, and domestic battery with moderate injury, a Level 6 Felony.

Officers were dispatched on May 23 at approximately 1:53 p.m. to the 15000 block of N. Walnut Street on a battery report that occurred the night before. The victim stated there were bruises all over their body. Officers corroborated the claims by finding multiple bruises on the victim's body and taking pictures of injuries.
Detectives also observed a small wooden table in the middle of the living room that was broken into multiple pieces. The victim stated they were reportedly slammed against the table, but didn't move anything so law enforcement could see what happened.
When officers asked what led to the argument the victim stated that they had requested Dulaney's co-worker's phone number so that they could let him know they were home safe.
According to court documents, Dulaney battered, slammed and strangled the victim multiple times in the middle of the night, which led to his arrest.
The Muncie Fire Department said this in a statement:
Muncie firefighter Jordan Dulaney was arrested on Monday, May 27th, 2024, on preliminary charges of domestic battery and strangulation. Firefighter Dulaney has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the criminal investigation.
The charges brought against firefighter Dulaney are unrelated to his duties with the Muncie Fire Department, and the circumstances leading up to these charges occurred off duty.
Firefighter Dulaney shall remain on administrative leave until further notice.
