MONROE COUNTY, Ind. — Indiana officials are investigating after a 23-year-old Greenwood man died in Lake Lemon.
According to the Indiana Dept. of Natural Resources, Conservation Officers were notified around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday a man had gone missing while in the beach area of Riddle Point Park with a group of friends. The man was identified as 23-year-old Nathan Stout of Greenwood.
DNR said that Stout was last seen at approximately 2 a.m. near the water's edge, prompting Conservation Officers to begin a water search. Around 10:10 a.m. Tuesday, Stout's body was located and recovered from Lake Lemon.
An exact cause of death for Stout has not been determined and is pending autopsy results. Both IDNR and the Monroe County Sheriff's Office are handling the investigation. No other information was immediately provided.
