KOKOMO, Ind. — Kokomo police are investigating after an early morning armed robbery at a local store.
Howard County Sheriff's Deputies were called around 6:15 a.m. Monday to Cassville Market at 5582 N 00 EW in Kokomo for an armed robbery.
Upon arrival, they spoke with an employee who said that a person came into the store just after it had opened, came to the counter, showed a handgun and demanded money. The suspect then fled the store, police said.
Video surveillance shows the suspect was wearing a green hoodie, a black hat with white lettering, a black "neoprene-style" mask, prayer beads on his right wrist, grey sweatpants and blue shoes. The suspect was holding a red 2-gallon gas can.
Detectives are now asking the public for help in identifying the suspect. Anyone with information on the robbery or who may have been in the area and saw the suspect are being asked to call Det. Ernie Shirey (765) 614-3449. To remain anonymous, call (317) 262-TIPS.
