GAS CITY, Ind. -- Three people are facing attempted murder and other felony charges after a juvenile was found shot in Gas City during an altercation on Sunday.
Officers with the Gas City Police Department were dispatched around 8:10 p.m. to Gas City Park after receiving reports that shots had been heard in the area. Upon arrival, GCPD said officers found two vehicles that had been damaged by gunfire and one female juvenile who was suffering from a gunshot wound.
GCPD said officers reviewed video surveillance footage and conducted interviews to identify the trio responsible for the incident. The investigation led officers to a home located on the 300 block of E. South C Street in Gas City, according to GCPD.
Officers executed a search warrant at the residence where they uncovered a firearm. This led to the arrests of 19-year-old Deanthony Jones, 18-year-old Conner Robinson and 18-year-old Bailey Miller-Hord, who were booked into the Grant County Jail for various felony charges.
All three were arrested and preliminarily charged with:
- Attempted murder (level 1 felony)
- Conspiracy to commit murder, (level 2 felony)
- Criminal recklessness armed with a firearm (level 5 felony)
