The victim told police that he had arrived at the mobile home after receiving a message on Facebook to come to that address in order to collect money that was owed to him.
Cleary and another man, identified as Henry Lowe of Muncie, jumped the victim once he walked inside the mobile home, however, striking him in the head with a gun and kicking him in the face once he hit the ground.
The victim claimed that Cleary pointed a gun at him and threatened to shoot him if he didn't hand his keys and phone over to Cleary. The victim refused and Cleary allegedly shot the victim in the leg.
A witness also backed up the victim's account of the events inside the mobile home, court documents reveal.
Court and jail records reveal that Lowe was arrested less than a week after the robbery. He is also charged with robbery resulting in serious bodily injury, a Level 2 felony, along with armed robbery, battery and intimidation.
