INDIANAPOLIS — A 17-year-old was arrested for murder on Friday.

In a Facebook post, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department reported that its detectives took the juvenile suspect into custody while investigating a homicide that unfolded on Gable Drive in March.

Previous reporting indicates 25-year-old Addam Hart was killed in a shooting in the 2200 block of Gable Drive on March 28.

Officers were first dispatched to the area around 1 a.m. that day. When they arrived at the scene, they found Hart and helped transport him to Eskenazi Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

IMPD previously arrested 16-year-old Savannah Allen during its investigation. Police located and detained Allen on May 2. The Marion County Prosecutor's Office formally charged her with murder on May 7.

Allen was charged as an adult. MCPO will also make final charging decisions in the 17-year-old's case.
