INDIANAPOLIS — A person was injured during a shooting in downtown Indianapolis Saturday night.
According to a press release, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to the area of North Pennsylvania Street and East Washington Street on a report of a person shot. When police arrived at the scene, they located a victim with injuries consistent with gunshot wounds.
The victim is in stable condition, per IMPD. Public police reporting systems indicate officers were first dispatched to the area around 9:07 p.m.
FOX59 and CBS4's crew at the scene has learned the victim got shot in the leg and then fled to a nearby parking lot. The person was later taken to a local hospital.
