CARMEL, Ind. — A man faces a slew of charges after a woman claimed he forced her into a car at gunpoint and held her against her will while telling the woman that he would kill himself if she left him.

Kindell K. Wilson, 33, is charged with intimidation with a deadly weapon, a Level 5 felony, and kidnapping, pointing a firearm, strangulation and confinement, all Level 6 felonies.

According to court documents, the victim told police that on May 6, she told Wilson that she could no longer be in a relationship with him. Wilson reportedly began texting and calling her repeatedly until she returned to Comfort Inn on Pennsylvania Parkway where the pair were temporarily staying with the victim's children.

The victim told police that Wilson grabbed her by the arm outside the Comfort Inn and forcibly pushed her into his car.

In the car, Wilson is accused of pulling out a black handgun and pointing it at the woman. The victim told police that Wilson threatened to kill her and then himself if she left him.

Later, after returning to the Comfort Inn, Wilson is accused of taking the victim into the bathroom while the children were eating dinner and once again threatening to kill himself if she left him, even going so far as placing a gun in his mouth.

Court documents reveal that Wilson has pending charges of criminal confinement, strangulation and domestic battery in regards to another case from February.

Police ended up searching the motel room and discovering a firearm underneath Wilson's pillow. According to court documents, Wilson is prohibited from owning a firearm due to past convictions.
