GREENCASTLE, Ind. -- A Greencastle man is facing a felony charge of child exploitation after being accused of having child pornography in his possession.

According to court documents, Bruce A. Campbell has been charged with a level 4 felony of child exploitation for allegedly possessing and viewing child pornography after the Boone County CASE Task Force received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Law enforcement officials with the Lebanon Police Department and the Boone County Child Abuse and Sexual Exploitation Task Force executed a search warrant at Campbell's residence on May 10 where they obtained a cell phone containing multiple videos allegedly depicting child pornography, court documents said.

According to court documents, the videos featured a minor male under the age of 12 engaging in sexual acts with an adult male.

After being brought into custody for further questioning, Campbell allegedly admitted to investigators that he used X, formerly known as Twitter, to view child pornography with several of the videos featuring children ranging between 5 and 13 years of age, according to court documents.

Court documents show that Campbell also allegedly told investigators that he had received and sent child pornography from his residence in Greenfield, telling investigators that he would use an application known as Telegram to send and receive child pornography privately.

Campbell was subsequently arrested and booked into the Putnam County Jail on a $25,000 cash-only bond. According to online court records, Campbell has entered a not-guilty plea and has had a public defender appointed to oversee his case.

Campbell is due to appear in Putnam Circuit Court on July 11 at 8:30 a.m. for a pre-trial conference.
