INDIANAPOLIS -- Crews with the Indianapolis Fire Department are currently working a building fire near downtown Indianapolis.

The department was called to a building near the intersection of E Walnut St. and N Pennsylvania St. at around 5:38 a.m. on Tuesday. The address was for The Sanctuary on Penn, an old church that now serves as a wedding venue in Indianapolis.
FOX59/CBS4 crews on scene said that flames are continuing to come out of the building at around 6:05 a.m. as crews continue to try to put the fire out. At around 7 a.m., FOX59/CBS4 crews said that the roof of the building is completely gone.
According to AES Indiana, 168 customers are without power in the area of the fire as of 6:28 a.m. The power has since been turned back on.
Officials told FOX59/CBS4 that the Department of Business and Neighborhood Services in Indianapolis is expected to demolish the building on Tuesday.
