INDIANAPOLIS - Police are investigating after a man was hurt in a shooting on Indy's near northeast side Sunday night.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, just after 11 p.m., officers responded to the 3700 block of North Rural Street on the report of a person shot.
When officers arrived, they located a 19-year-old man in a residence with injuries consistent with a gunshot wound. He was reported to be in critical condition, according to police.
Investigators located shell casings in the front and side of the house. At least two children and another adult were in the home when the shooting took place, according to police.
