INDIANAPOLIS — A person was extricated from a vehicle on Interstate 65 southbound in Indianapolis on Sunday.

The Indiana Department of Transportation's traffic cameras appeared to show a car in the area that had struck a pole. INDOT's traffic cameras also recorded footage of crews working on the car for more than two hours.

At the scene, crews appeared to remove doors and a roof from a silver car. Cameras also captured the moment crews extricated a person from the car.

FOX59 and CBS4 have reached out to Indiana State Police for information on the person's condition. As of 7:18 p.m. Sunday, ISP had not provided an update on the crash or the condition of the occupant who was removed from the crashed vehicle.

Traffic on the I-65 southbound's exit for Lafayette Road was slowed by the crash, though traffic never appeared to be blocked because the crash was mostly confined to a grassy area off the roadway.

As of this article's publication, no additional information on the incident had been made available.
