INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis International Airport is eager to welcome football fans who will be traveling through the airport this upcoming weekend.
Approximately 65,000 fans are expected to set foot in Indianapolis this weekend to watch Oregon and Penn State play in the Big Ten Football Championship Game.
“Big events are Indy’s forte, and our airline partners are doing their part to ensure fans have plenty of options to be here in person to celebrate Oregon’s first Big Ten championship game,” said Mario Rodriguez, Indianapolis Airport Authority executive director.
The event is expected to be so big that multiple airlines have added nonstop flights from Dec. 6 - Dec. 8.
The game will occur at on Saturday, Dec. 7, at 8 p.m. at Lucas Oil Stadium to a televised audience.
