INDIANAPOLIS — A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash on the near northwest side of Indianapolis Sunday morning.
Per the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were called to the 2600 block of West Kessler Boulevard North Drive around 7:51 a.m. on a report of a crash. Upon their arrival, police found a victim with injuries consistent with trauma who had been struck by a driver's vehicle.
That victim was transported to an area hospital in critical condition after the crash, according to IMPD. A public police report filed Sunday evening indicates the pedestrian ultimately died.
Police confirmed the driver that struck the pedestrian did not stay on scene. IMPD is still investigating the crash and has not publicly named any suspects or persons of interest. Law enforcement has not released any details on suspect vehicles that may have been involved in the crash either.
