INDIANAPOLIS — Bands of America announced the winners of its Grand National Championships on Sunday, and two Indiana schools finished in first and second place.
According to a Facebook post from Bands of America, Avon High School was crowned the grand champion just after midnight. The school's band earned a score of 97.300. Carmel High School followed closely behind with a score of 96.350.
Just a few spots down, in ninth place, was Castle High School, which is located in Newburgh. Per BOA, CHS scored a 90.475.

- Tarpon Springs HS of Fla. in fourth (96.000)
- Cedar Park HS of Tex. in fifth (93.300)
- William Mason HS of Ohio in sixth (92.500)
- Bridgeland HS of Tex. in seventh (90.850)
- American Fork HS of Utah in eighth (90.700)
- Dobyns-Bennet HS of Tenn. in tenth (89.050)
- Prosper HS of Tex. in eleventh (88.750)
- Leander HS of Tex. in twelfth (88.350)
