FISHERS, Ind. — A juvenile was arrested after shots were reportedly fired in Fishers early Saturday morning.

According to a Facebook post from the Fishers Police Department, officers were called around 1 a.m. on Saturday to the 12000 block of Sunrise Circle on the report of shots fired. FPD reported that, when officers made it to the scene, they stopped a fleeing vehicle and detained its sole occupant — a 17-year-old.

In its release, FPD wrote that the shots stemmed from a party in the area. They determined that some individuals from the party fired shots into the air and ground.

No injuries were reported, and officers said the shots were not targeting anyone in particular.

The investigation remains ongoing. While the 17-year-old was not named, they were preliminarily charged with:

  • Criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon
  • Resisting law enforcement
  • Dangerous possession of a firearm.

FPD is asking those with information on the shooting to contact Detective JP Smith at (317) 595-3331. Alternatively, tipsters wishing to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at (317) 262-8477.
