VALPARAISO, Ind. — A Northwest Indiana man will serve 30 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to producing child porn.
Gerald T. Brann, 43, and Veronica Solis of Valparaiso were arrested in 2023 and extradited to Texas.
Indiana State Police raided the couple's Valparaiso home in January 2023 where numerous devices were seized. Police said seized cell phones contained images and videos of child sexual abuse material.
Some of these videos were made while the couple was residing in the San Antonio area prior to moving to Indiana.
Brann pleaded guilty in a federal court in San Antonio where he heard his 360-month sentence be handed down.
Solis pleaded guilty to one count of sexual exploitation of children in December 2023. She will be sentenced in July and faces between 15 and 30 years in prison.
The Indiana State Police assisted the FBI in investigating this case and bringing Brann into custody.
