INDIANAPOLIS -- Suspects in two separate homicides were arrested on Thursday by detectives with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
According to a post on IMPD's social media, detectives with the violent crimes unit located and took 19-year-old Joaquin Harmon-Segura and 33-year-old Felipe Maguellal into custody.
On Thursday, detectives located and arrested Harmon-Segura in the 11500 block of Dunshire Drive. This is in relation to a drive-by shooting in late March that caused the death of 25-year-old Addam Hart in the 2200 block of Gable Drive.
According to previous reports, Hart was at his home on Gable Drive when a vehicle reportedly pulled up and fired more than 30 bullets into the home on March 28. Hart was shot during the incident and was pronounced dead at a local hospital. Tyler Gibson, a 17-year-old, has also been charged in relation to the shooting.
On Thursday, detectives located and arrested Maguellal in the 3800 block of S. East Street. This was in relation to a separate homicide that occurred earlier this month.
According to previous reports, 40-year-old Perry Banks died after he was intentionally struck by a driver outside the Checkered Flag Tavern on the west side of Indianapolis on Oct. 19. Police allege that Maguellal intentionally hit Banks with a vehicle after a fight broke out in the bar.
The post read that the Marion County Prosecutor's Office will make the final charging decisions in both cases.
