GRANT COUNTY, Ind. — A crash on I-69 took the life of an Ohio man on Thursday.
According to the Indiana State Police, troopers responded to an injury-involved crash around 2 p.m. on Thursday near the 270-mile marker on I-69.
ISP said the crash involved a 2020 VOLVO Semi traveling northbound on I-69 and a 2021 Ford Explorer. Per police, the semi rear-ended the Explorer "for an undetermined reason", resulting in the death of the Explorer's driver. The deceased individual has been identified as 81-year-old Noah L. Yoder of Hicksville, Ohio.
ISP added that life-saving measures provided on Yoder proved unsuccessful, and the Grant County Coroner's Office pronounced him deceased on the scene. The semi-driver did not sustain any injuries.
The investigation remains ongoing. ISP noted they do not suspect alcohol or narcotics to play a role in this crash.
