INDIANAPOLIS – Indianapolis Metropolitan police are investigating a deadly hit-and-run crash on the near northeast side.
IMPD said a vehicle struck and killed a person in the area of 2600 N. Keystone Ave. It happened just before 5:10 a.m.
Police arrived to find a person lying in the road. Medics pronounced the individual dead at the scene and believe a vehicle hit the victim and took off.
The investigation led to some road closures, although the scene has since cleared.
The IMPD Fatal Crash Investigation Team and Marion County Coroner's Office were called to the scene. IMPD didn't release any information about a possible suspect or vehicle.
