INDIANAPOLIS -- The Marion County Coroner's Office has confirmed the identity of a 2-year-old who was found dead this weekend after initially being reported missing by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
According to the office, 2-year-old Anna Fabor Mandanda drowned on the south side of Indianapolis on Saturday evening.
The girl was initially reported missing at around 10:15 p.m. on Saturday night. The child was last seen around 3 p.m. on Saturday in the 6900 block of Governors Point Blvd. IMPD searched for the toddler on foot and used a drone.
IMPD called off the search early Sunday morning after the toddler's body was located in a nearby pond. The department is continuing to investigate the circumstances of how she went missing.
