INDIANAPOLIS — A teenager was shot on the northeast side of Indianapolis on Monday afternoon.
According to a press release from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers responded to the 3800 block of North Keystone Avenue around 4:02 p.m. on a report of a person shot. When police arrived at the scene, they located a teenage male victim with injuries consistent with gunshot wounds.
IMPD reported that the victim was transported from the scene to a local hospital in stable condition.
During their investigation, officers located a firearm at the scene of the shooting. Police seized the gun and also recovered narcotics as they continued to examine the shooting.
IMPD indicated that it arrested an adult male on narcotics charges after the incident.
IMPD is still investigating the incident, but as of this article's publication, nobody had been specifically charged for shooting the teenage victim.
