INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department has launched a death investigation on the northeast side of Indianapolis.
Public police reporting systems indicate IMPD officers were called to the 8400 block of Whipporwill Drive around 3:50 p.m. Friday for a death investigation. At 4:28 p.m., police confirmed they were still working at the scene.
Investigators in the area told FOX59 and CBS4 a body was found in a nearby pond. As of 5:25 p.m., police were still at the scene looking into the incident.
