The Fever will return to Indiana for more training camp with a preseason loss under their belt. Indiana lost to the Dallas Wings 79-76 on Friday night.
First overall pick Caitlin Clark wasted no time getting into the action. Erica Wheeler found Clark for a deep three-pointer less than a minute into the game.
At halftime, she led all scorers with 16 points. Clark and the Fever went into the locker room up 48-40 over Dallas.
By the end of the game, Wheeler, Clark, and NaLyssa Smith were the only three players in double figures for Indiana.
In the final seconds, with the game tied 76-76, Notre Dame product Arike Ogunbowale made a game-winning three pointer to lift Dallas to a preseason win.
Training camp continues for the Fever through Wednesday afternoon. They play a home preseason game against the Atlanta Dream on Thursday, May 9th at 7:00 p.m.
